[sblock=hero4hire]COOL! Although it does reinforce my choice not to have a symbol or pic by my name... your old one gave a certain impression, and this one is a totally different impression. Now of course any role-player worth a d3 will tell you they get past that... but still. I will have a harder time not looking at Kol favorably with ol' Stan looking at me while I read about him... and it's a Great Pic too! I would hope that old coger is enjoying life as much as that smile indicates =-) [/sblock]

"Hey, Rawen!" Rowan says abruptly, elbowing his friend. He slams the book he's been reading onto the table. "I know how to use those little sticks the wizards use to heal people. I need to go find me one. The only thing is, I don't know that i have enough money. Tell you what. Ever since that Lazerus elf guy split, we don't have a healer in our little group. If you & Rinya pitch in, I can buy one of those wands and we be set!"
Richard stirs from his place, leaning back in his seat against the bar. He furrows his brow, "Uh, well, remember that whole sword thing . . . ?" The young man looks down at his boots redfaced, before looking back at Rowan. "I'll gladly help with anything I can as soon as I pay my bill at the forge."

Ciprinus makes a short head move toward the two arcanists.
-I see... Such an unfortunate event, I would have been more than willing to venture in the wild. Cities just don't fit with my personality you know... Neither with Carpios.-
"Indeed, if you had been consc- awake, I feel they would have welcomed your services," returns Taelythenihel. "Though I have no particular expertise that would serve me well in the wild, of late I prefer less crowded surroundings than the city. Is Carpio upset? I confess I cannot tell."

-Yes he is, look at his eyes.- said the druid, like trying to express the obvious.
-And his tail is hanging, oscillating from right to left. I'm sure you are at least nervous, ain't you lad? Well now, relax, do not be unpolited.- Upon the words of the half elf, the viperine creature "relaxes" in his own snakey way.
-Thats better- Ciprinus turns to Taelythenihel -Tell me, who is this servant you mentioned earlier?-

Taelythenihel does as instructed. "I see only that the pupil is elliptical," she says. "My servant is named Ossa." Her gaze shifts momentarily towards the illusionist Ruud. "She came into my service a year ago. She has a... condition that has left her mute and disfigured. She is no longer the woman she once was." Again she glances at Ruud. "She depends on me for her protection and in return she serves me faithfully. Though I have not put it to the test, I believe she would be a passable warrior. She is, ah, at rest upstairs currently."

Ruud just listens quietly and doesn't add anything.

-Ossa, I see...- replies Ciprinus -Is she some, ... hmm ... unusual been? I mean, is to be expected from a wizard like yourself. Something like a goblin... or maybe something bigger- the druid voice shows expectation, like a kid amused by possibilities, his deep eyes locked on the elven mage as he speaks. Carpio looks at Taelythenihel the same strange way.

Ignored once again as another man addresses Lokin. Maybe Kol and her warrior friend gave off that vibe? Both truly were more beautiful than she, that was for certain. Clucking her tongue against the back of her teeth, Payne gives the fighter a once over with two-toned eyes. Huh. Sure was a lot of meat shields floating about the tavern today. ``Not worth our time and effort, if you ask me. Would've like to take away more loot.. `` It was clear that she was speaking to Valdaris.. especially because her eyes were burning a hole straight through him. Well.. not literally, but you get the point. Pause. ``Wait.. no one is riding me or my coat tails. Not for free.. anyway.`` Cue the naughty by nature smirk.

"Oh ho! What price would you exact then? I hath shed blood, sweat, and tears for thee...Well not so on the tears. What more would thy ask of me?" Kol asks affecting a mock cultured voice, as if he were the lead actor in a romantic tragedy.

"She is certainly taller than a goblin. No, I have examined her closely, and I am quite certain her ancestry is human," says Taelythenihel.

Unable to resist the glare of the mysterious woman [Payne], Valdaris looks up briefly and recognizes her for the first time as she addresses him. He nods his head cordially, about the closest thing to real manners that he is able to muster. Though she was veiled in secrecy, some aspects her reminded him of others from his past. And those women certainly knew how to take care of themselves. A wry smile creeps across his face at her last statement and he returns with a comment in kind.

“Perhaps you shall have a little more success on your next venture, miss...”

He pauses for a drink of his ale. “Something tells me that this region has many secrets yet to be uncovered. And many rewards to be had. I hope to be one of those involved.”
