Horde is a simple game. We go around in a circle tossing dice. When it's your turn before you roll the dice, you chuck gold in the pot. Or whatever the agreed on amount happens to be. If you roll double you get the horde, if you roll a 7 you anté up again and pass the dice.

After this pot empties, would you mind having more players?
Valan questions Lokin.

[sblock=OoC] Lot and I are using Invisible castle to roll. Use your character name or whatever your comfortable with and make all roll with that name.[/sblock]

"you'll likely lose your gold."

And you Valan points and grins. Should learn to take a chance or two. Odds are equal for each person who bellies up, a simple test of luck.

And who...
addressing the rest of the patrons. Who?! Among all ,must rely on a bit of luck, who more than we; the travellers, the adventurers, the guardians and the thiefs of the Red Dragon Inn?

Praise Grendath.
Valan grins broadly.

"Laughing Warrior by our side, and a good wind on our backs!", Jinx echoes the call. He continues in a slightly lower voice. "A fair game, aye, and though I'm used to playing for coppers and bits instead of gold, I'll take a chance next round."

OOC: JOBS?! I don't have to wait for work?! Where are the jobs!?

[sblock=OoC] The "Jobs" he refers to would be a random person doing a simple game at the request of the players. Such as robbing a wagon or two, and/or protecting those wagons.

The trick would be finding a DM of willing mind and able posting.[/sblock]

OOC: I can GM something simple, but I'd be pretty sporadic until December 14th, when Exams end. Maybe two, three times per week, if that.

And I'd be running a Goodman Games adventure. Haven't figured out which one, yet. But it'd be a pretty small adventure. If there's interest in that.

EDIT: Cancel that. Rystil Arden has an adventure coming up incredibly soon, and I don't want to step on his toes. I will come in and run a pick-up adventure after RA's adventure starts up, though.

So, yeah, you guys have fun gambling for now, because I imagine you'll be killing a bunch of... whatever.... soon.

[sblock=OOC2]Shouldn't there be an SBLOCK in the first tavern post to represent all the (usually few) recruiting adventures that would be on the bulletin board? That way new arrivals/returning adventurers can quickly find a new game instead of scanning for the adventure hook? The bulletin board could even have a link to the first post of the hook, so the creativity of the introductions are not ignored. Something like: [sblock=Bulletin Board]On this corkboard are tacked up a few pieces of paper that are advertisements for adventuring oppurtunities. [sblock=Title]Help Wanted.

It's in the first post of the thread:

The first thing any visitor should do, upon entering the the Red Dragon, is shuffle up to Joe. The barmaids try to ensure that this happens promptly, because Joe can't stand anyone that doesn't say hi at the very least. The second thing Joe does to any visitor, is to get them to shout out their name and any important facts about themselves that others might need to know. Then, third, the entire bar greets the newcomer and gets back to their drinking. It's all just customery, but Joe sure does appreciate it.

Valan quick stacks the 5 gold laying on the bar and pushes it aside. My compatriot seems a bit distracted at the moment to I'd consider starting a second game. Who would be interested?
