OOC: Bubbles can shoot at the ship's engines and maintain pursuit right? If so, she is shooting kinetic bubbles into the ship's engines.

OV/EV 8/8 Blast: [roll0] + [roll1] = 18

If I read that correctly, if their opposing value is 8 or lower, she just did 8 AP to some part of the ship. (Of course, the mistake she's making is "where does the ship land....?")


A streak of glowing bubbles chases Bubbles in the night sky. She summons up some more energy and flings a burst of kinetic bubbles at the fleeing ship.

Bubbles
The vehicle begins to spin and veer in an evasive pattern. Bubbles finds it a hard target without risking the nearby buildings. However with careful aim she launches a stream of energy spheres at the hovercraft. Her blast wings the vehicle, the armor takes the brunt of the blast but she sees surface damage.
In return the hovercraft launches an air'to-air missile! She veers and the missile flies past her, only to change its flight path towards her again!

Blockade
Floors and floors of concave windows fly by as Blockade goes hurtling straight up. Stretching out as far as he can, the wrestler knows the ever sloping inward building will be impossible to grab. However at the last moment Blockade grows to double his size and reach enabling him to *just* barely grab the roof's edge!

OOC:
Bubbles scored 2raps of damage.
She is missed by the missile, but seems to be heat seeking and will attack again next turn.
Blockade just made the roll. Growth was really for dramatic flair, and the building is strangely sloped in towards the top!

OOC: Is there a way to push one's powers with HPs? She'd like to get an extra AP of flight so she can put the aircraft between her and the missile.

OOC: Yes! It is a Dice action the AV/EV and OV/RV is the APs of the power. The RAPs is the amount you can add. The HP fee is 3 points per AP you want to add (you don't need to use all RAPs of check). As with all rolls you may also use HP to help ensure success by adding to the AV or EV on a one per one basis.
If the push fails the power goes to 0 APs and must be recovered as per recovery rules.

OOC: So if EV=RV, you always need a 13 to get at least +1 AP to the power.
So the next question is, if she gets her Flight to 9 (or 10) can she make the missile hit the ship? (or does she think it is possible).

If yes, she spends 7 AP to boost the die roll and 6 AP to increase the result up to +2 RAP for a flight of 10 (reduce that to 3, +1, and 9 respectively if she is sure she only needs +1AP)

Is bumping the roll decided before or after the roll? I'm assuming before.

HP: 42-2 (damage) -7 -6 = 29

Only paid for +2 RAP, I figure with flight 10, she can not only outrun the ship but ensure the ship is between her and the missile when the missile gets close enough.

Bubbles looks over her shoulder to see where the missile lands and is surprised to see it turning around and coming back at her. She reaches into her well of power and pushes herself harder accelerating past the aircraft and slowing down to match its speed with the missile coming for her with the ship providing cover. She can't make out the pilot in the cockpit but she imagines his expression is priceless at the moment.

OOC: Hero Points do not add to rolls. They can add to your AV or EV. A Push roll usually needs an 11 to get any RAPs. The 7 spent on your AV would make it 15 on the chart. A 13 is as good as a 15 in this case. So let's say you only spent 5hp. Since you only wanted 2 RAPs spending HP on EV would not make sense. So take those back.
Now a roll of 5 or more will net you the 2 RAPs that you need. A roll of 13 is plenty to succeed! (Wouldve succeeded without HP) Now the "Push Fee" for boosting Flight by 2 is 6 Hero points. So a total of 11HP.
