Damn me all to hell and you are right. It's such a huge project that it has taken lots longer than I had originally conceived. Best estimate is early in March. However, he may find that the Locus is enough to get him started.

waterdeep is good because you never have to leave it. Of the SL stuff Hollowfaust is excelent. but you don't have to limit it to one city, I am running my 3e game in the SL and my players are traveling like they have to "see it all"

I read Freeport over last weekend, and I was very impressed. Very well thought out, and full of possibilities and ideas.

I've not seen Bluffside, but I'll look out for it.

Waterdeep is good, though it doesn't hold together as well as Freeport.

Best city I've seen for a FRPG though is Pavis from Glorantha. It has a great feel to it, and everything hangs very well together. However, it is not d20.

I am what you may call a city collector, if a city book comes out I will buy it! You can also find Mongoose's Cities of Reknown useful.

One city book I was hoping for, was Windhaven but that appears to be a dead product.

Define what you as a DM want to do in your city games. Then check out the reviews of the products on this site or others for the one that best fits your needs.
