I know we have a lot of Civ IV fans here - anyone have the new EP yet? I skipped the first EP since it didn't look very interesting, but the new one seems almost too good to be true.

I'm currently broke so haven't had a chance to get it, but from what I've seen it looks to be just amazing.
The changes to the Space Race and the Random Events are really enough for me...but all the other stuff, too? I need money to lose on this thing!

Supposedly it adds all sorts of future stuff to the game. And has several complete conversion scenarios. For instance, something like Civ in Space (which I guess would be like Gal Civ). Another is an X-com like scenario (that is squad based), only against zombies underground. Etc.

Warlords was good, and added some needed elements to the game. I'm anxious to get this one, too. I'm a Civ-aholic from way back.

Got it last night, and played the first 1/4 of a Marathon Huge game. Random events currently rock my world. After getting sneak attacked by a Friendly Kublai Khan, I get a random event popup:
"A runner exemplifies the determination of your civilization by running from the border to your capital city, and warns of the impending invasion" Here, have a free Golden Age.
16 turns later, the war turns from a situation where I might be lucky to keep what I have to a rout in my favor. Go random dumb luck!
