As long as new classes are interesting and fun then we can never have too many.

Exactly. I've never understood this constant dislike for new classes. As long as the classes are varied and well designed, I've got no problems with having scores of them.

The more classes there are the better the chance for the right class for any character concept I have so I like that. I don't like to shoehorn concpets that don't fit well with existing classes.

Another great point. I'd much rather have a specific class for a concept, than having to hack another one to get an approximation.

How many classes are there in 3.5? Add in prestige classess and it's a lot of variety.

I just wonder if they won't hit a creativity wall and decide to introduce a new tier, level 31-40 to expand things out farther.

Keep bringing the classes. I'm curious to see how many ways there are to deal 2[W] damage, move the target X squares, and inflict ongoing suck (save ends).;)

Same here. I am interested to see how many different ways the designers can reflavour what is essentially the same power to fit into various classes. ;)

Eh, it's not like you'll have every class in every group. A group isn't going to have more than a handful at any given time. So it isn't as though your table needs to do anything extra to accomodate the extra choices.

Besides, if you are a player that only gets excited by 3 of the classes, there can be 10000s, but you'll ever only be looking at the 3 that interest you. And, who knows, maybe after 5000 there will be a 4th one that interests you. ;)

How many powers are actually identical to one another?

Even if there are many identical powers, it's no worse than having the same spell on multiple classes' spell lists.

I don't think that it's possible to have too many classes. Use the ones you like and ignore the rest. Having more options is always better, as long as they aren't obviously broken or over-/under-powered.

Well I can think of a lot more classes without much strain so I guess we are still doing well. I want them to do some more multiclass-only classes like the FRPG's spellscared though. Things like truename magic and rune magic could easily be described as such.
