Classic 1st edition AD&D Game (Recruiting?)

Ah, my first house rule! If multi-classing, then take the least restrictive armor and weapon proficiency list froom your classes: Thus, a ranger/cleric can use a bow!

Against my initial judgements, I think I may have to do this game as well. I picked up mint condition copies of the first printings of the 1e PHB, DMG (ooo, random whore table!), and MM about a year and a half ago off Ebay (all 3 in a lot for only $20!) and have been itching to try 'em out. Good ol' 1e style dungeon crawls, or an actual campaign with a storyline? ;)

Well, you'll only need one of those, the player's handbook! (No touchies the others! *Prepares to slap hands*)

A story? Well, gee, you want everything! ;) I'll see what I can come up with!

Well looks like I was having wishful thinking. As is anyone going for 18/xx str. Out of 4 or 5 tries I could not roll up a ranger. Good luck guys.

Oh, a story is not necessary. I was kinda thinking dungeon crawl, anyway, as that *is* the quintessential 1e campaign. Hack and slash, stories be damned! ;)

And I also have 1e Manual of the Planes, Fiend Folio, and MM2 as well, but kept my mouth shut for fear of slappage. ;)

Thanks, since I plan on staying away from those book for the most part... Yup, that means no Drow, or Loth (in the fiends Folio rather then the Dieties and Demigods book, believe it or not!). Well at least until we reach... 2nd level.

Oh, Rangerjohn, I don't have my book infront of me, but was it you who roled THESE attributes? If you did, then they should qualify for a ranger, no?
