First Post
Ahhh... classic D&D.
Seen a few nostalgic rants lately. Thought we needed a song.
For those who don't know, this was the opening song to "All in the Family"

"Those Were The Days"
Original Lyrics by Lee Adams and Charles Strouse, sung to the same melody

Boy, the way Gary Gygax played.
Before magic-users could weild a blade.
Guys like us, we had it made. Those were the days.

Didn't need no Reflex save.
Everybody explored a borderlands cave.
For good ol' TSR we were slaves. Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then.
Dragons were weak and men were men.
Mister, we could use a few boxed-sets a-gain.

People seemed to be content.
Two electrum paid the rent.
Hit points were low to a great extent. Those were the days.

Take a little Sunday quest,
Off to kill the Melibonean best.
Spent some nights in Milwaukee obsessed.

Hair was long and minis were lead.
I leveled up on the Isle of Dread.
I saved vs spells and ended up dead. Those Were The Days.
