Classless D20/OGL systems?

Mutants & Masterminds, though it's not really d20.

There are some options for point based instead of classes (I think one is called Buy the Numbers).

I have outlined a similar system (no true classes, though it still uses class and level mechanics, but there is only one very generic class ;)) in the house rules forum a while ago.

True20 isn't classless, but it's only three classes and there are classless variants on the boards at the Green Ronin Website.

The Versatile Hero is essentially a classless system for OGL games, but one that leaves the option of playing classes open for those who wish to. I know a lot of people here on EN World and in other places on the have used it that way.

And Call of Cthulhu d20 presents one customizable class, making it essentially classless. Too bad Chaosium so completely dropped the ball on capitalizing on that system, so there's not much support.

The upcoming True20 Companion seems to present a rules variant for doing away with the three "roles" (Warrior, Expert, Adept) and making every character's career unique.

At least, this is what some posts on the True20 boards imply.

But even the three roles differ enough from classes that it is a bit misleading to call them classes.
