Actually, Ares didn't have a very good standing in Ancient Greece. He was associated mostly with barbarians. True warriors would evoke Athena, Apollo (specially the archers) and Zeus (after all, he IS the Big Kahuna).Ambrus said:Thanks guys! Nice insight epochrpg. And I believe that the reason that Athena can beat Ares (and pretty much any other god at their own portfolio) is due to the prosperity and power that the city-state of Athens enjoyed in the ancient world. She being the city's patron goddess it was inevitable that Athenians would claim that their goddess was the best at everything.![]()
