Clerical Spell Suggestions?

Okay, I am in the process of creating a CE drow priestess of Lloth for a short-term adventure (probably 8-10 sessions). She is a 15th level Favored Soul, and I need spell suggestions. We're adventuring in the Forgotten Realms, and using the 3.5 rulebooks.

For those of you not familiar with the Favored Soul, it’s basically the clerical version of the sorcerer – fixed list of known spells. I need spells to fill out that list, from 1-7th spell level.

Any suggestions? It’s been a while since I’ve played anything other than a standard (and more flexible spell-list) cleric. :)

Tell us something about your character or what kind of caster you want. Most people go for the low wisdom, high charisma FS so they just select spells without saves, healing spells and of course self and party buffs.

Heal is a no-brainer, of course :).

Well, I've got Heal and Harm, of course. ;) Wis and Cha are both in the 25-26 range (after magic items), so save DCs and and spell selection are about equal. The character is CE, and more of a combat-type rather than party support/buffs. Spells that are useful in combat preferred (although general all-around useful spells are good too, and spells that are useful in multiple situations and non-traditional ways are great, like shatter). Umm... any more details wanted? I don't want to overwhelm people with details. :)
 

Destruction seems like a likely candidate for 7th level.

Planar Exchange, a 6th level spell from Planar Handbook, is pretty nifty.

Mass Lesser Vigor is a very useful healing spell in 3rd level. Extend Spell can double the healing.

And I would take a look into the Underdark sourcebook, there might be some nice spider-flavored spells.

If you'd like to specialize, try Summoning. Then you have an excuse to memorize buff spells; they are for your summoned creatures! An summoned spiders are excellent choices. Gotta dig those thrown webs.
 




Since you're a Favored Soul, as a general strategy I'd pick up at least one attack spell, one healing spell (Favored Souls get no spell-swapping, meaning they can't exchange a spell for a healing spell unless they've selected it as one of their Spells Known,) and one melee buff spell (if such is available at that level) at each level.

Some of the old-favorites such as Divine Favor, Divine Power, and Righteous Might would be excellent choices for melee buff spells. As well as Flame Strike for damage. If you have the Fire or Sun domain, Fire Shield is also an excellent buff spell, damage and elemental protection all in one!

I believe that Sunbeam has additional effects against daylight-vulnerable foes, so it might be advantageous to have it versus other drow houses...
