Clerics, whats your favourite spells?

Persistant anything? Mostly persistant divine favour.

Once you hit 9th level and can persist your divine favour, it becomes really nasty.

With the bead that raises caster level (+4 - the bead of karma I think) I was running around with extended str, con and wis boost, on for 26 hours a pop. Combined with persistant divine favour and smite (R&R), a spell I have decided is way to good and have banned, extended magic vestment and extended magical weapon, much death could be issued.

If it can be made persistant or has a duration in hours, Extend it :) Everything becomes very, very good.

How about Monsterous Regeneration to turn all damage into subdual. And then Favor of Illmater to make you immune to subdual damage? >:)

Strange that no-one likes Harm; seems like a decent spell to me...

The because harm is evil and offen house ruled after one outing

DM: "you WHAT!"

Yeah, I use my harm spell with that true stike I cast last round to reduce the dragon to 1d4. Then I use my haste partial form my (boots of speed/armour of spped) to cast cause light wounds.

DM: ARGGHHHHHHHHH

;)

Very evil spell :-)

Bears Heart is one that I will use when I hit 9th, and I shyed away from taking Persistant as a feat, as only Divine Favour was really any good at that level. I would have to wait a long time before I could use Persistant Divine whassname (fight as Fighter of your level).

The Monsterous regeneration is a combo I will try as well, and I am sure my DM will love that when I use it ....:p

Greater Magic Weapon I have not used at all yet, but when I am 9th, I will use it all the time, and Magic Vestment I will use on myself more when I get a suit of Full Plate (currently in +2 Chainmail, and thats our best armour....)

Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming, as there is always a spell or two you overlook when you have as many as we do........

Well Im only lvl 7 as a cleric but I would have to say

Blindness is my fav.

Taken many of foe down with this spell. 2 pearls of power lvl 3 and you ca n blind even the tough melee foe.

only spells our cleric ever cast were destruction, slay living and harm, when he ran out of those he told us it was time to rest. and since he was about twice as powerful as the rest of combined (even though we were the same level), we listened, cause there is no way we could have defeated the opponents he single handedly laid low in the opening round.

You need a Mighty bow to get the Strength pump on a missle weapon. Even the Longbows max out at +4 Mighty in the PHB.

The Harm spell is not evil.

As for house ruled, I agree that it needs to be. We use a Will save (same as the Inflict spells use), successful save results in you loosing half your remaining hit points.

7th level with 2 pearls of power? Heh, you are far more equipt than I...

My magic items consist of +1 Battleaxe, +2 Chain, +3 Small sheild.

No misc items, and my armour (the best suit the party has) is not optimal for me.

Edit: Added Gorms text

Gorm Gulthyn (gorm gull-thin), the dwarven god of guardians,
defense, and vigilance, is lawful good. His titles include Fire Eyes,
the Golden Guardian, and the Sentinel. He is the patron of all those who defend dwarven homelands from hostile outside forces. He commands all his followers to be ever vigilant and to never let their guard down lest they or their charges be surprised and overwhelmed.

Many among the dwarven military worship him. The domains associated with him are Dwarf, Good, Law, Protection, and War, and his favored weapon is the battleaxe.
