Actual Play!
Morgue, designer of FiveEvil has been playing this twisted hack of 5e with some really talented friends from Aotearoa New Zealand, and we have the video evidence to prove it!
Playing with Morgue are
• Julz Burgisser from Fate of Isenhttps://www.fateofisen.com
• Brendon Bennetts the DM from Dungeons & Comedianshttps://dungeonsandcomedians.com/
• Brad Thompson from Cutting Wordshttps://www.youtube.com/c/cuttingwords
And from the world of improv theatre, Caitlin Penhey.
They're playing a special session of a special version of Wakefield House, one of the scenarios included in the FiveEvil Rulebook.

Amazing news over the weekend - we've unlocked the Gareth Hanrahan PDF scenario for all reward tier backers!
And now we're in a race to unlock the BEOWULF cross over, and Malcolm Craig penned Bunker scenario before the campaign ends THIS THURSDAY!

We unlocked the BEOWULF cross over! You'll take the role of ordinary folk in the Age of Heroes, when the Heroes are nowhere to be found. But the Monsters remain... it's going to be amazing for Early Medieval horror.

Clive handles his cell phone well for someone his age!

I see how Intensity can make a situation more fearful for the players - a high(er) DC can be intimidating, and isn't something a character would necessarily know. Are there other elements that make the game scarier for the players instead of the characters (like a Jenga tower)?

Hi GMMichael!
All the best info is in the free Splinters PDF, where designer Morgue lays out all his thoughts about designing horror games - in short yes, the whole reworking of 5e is centred around making things more intense and high stakes.

And sorry for the slow reply - I saw your question when you posted it, and then I was damned if I could find it again! The perils of posting in so many places!
