Could someone list the new races? Not that it really matters since I'm getting this anyway, but it would be nice to know what to expect. Something to drool over in the mean time, since it'll be another week before I can get it :D

New races (and character examples):
Dugs (Sebulba)
Gen'Dai (Durge, but not quite as powerful as him)
Iktochi (Saesee Tinn)
Kaleesh (Grievious' race before he got a Full Borg Conversion)
Kaminoan
Kerkodian (General Loathsom of the Clone Wars movie)
Nautolans (Kit Fisto)
Nelvaanians (the primitive dog people from the 2nd 2D Clone War series)
Vurks (Coleman Trebor, aka the Jedi Master that Jango Fett gunned down in AotC)

Nifft,
There's not any "squads" per se, although the rules for creating a squad are pretty similar to those used to create creature swarms from Threats of the Galaxy. Unless you're referring to the mass combat system, which isn't something I've dug too deeply into as all of my games so far have been at the skirmish scale, so it's a part of the book I've not been too interested in reading as of yet.

Thanks Morningfire. Now I'm already drooling over this... I've waited for Nautolan and Kaminoan writeups since the core-book. Hope I can get my copy soon.

Turns out I forgot a view other races that were tucked away in the book.

Also included are the Chagrians (Mas Amedda, Darth Wyyrlok), Umbarans (Sly Moore), and Geonosians.

There's also rules for playing Fett clones (pretty much humans with a default set of ability scores which can be tweaked a little).

Also turns out WotC actually put a couple of excerpts/preview articles up for this book on the SW main page, covering the Vurks and Clone Blaze Trooper.

Ah, what I meant was: having clone troopers as PCs, similar to the video game Republic Commando.

I've been itching to run some one-shot games based off of that.

Thanks, -- N

There is a lot of information in this book. After reading through it a few times I find myself discovering new things and piecing items together for a campaign I'll never get to run. :D

Ah. That I can help with.

As it turns out, creating a PC Fett clone is pretty much the same as creating a Human PC. The only big difference is that as a clone your ability scores are all set to a default value (presumably based on Jango Fett at 1st level), though you get a small boost you can apply to any score, either to shore up a low score or seriously beef up one of your prime scores.

Crothian,
Agree completely on just the wealth of info in this book. Personally, I wouldn't have minded a bit of differentiation in regards to clone commando weapons (which sadly it appears that stat-wise they get the same generic gear as everyone else).
