[closed] 3.5 or CODA Tolkien inspired anyone?

I am thinking of running either a Tolkien-inspired 3.5 with mellow DnD elements or a very Tolkien-esque LotR CODA game set in the Second Age of Middle-Earth. Probably will start within two weeks time or less. Anyone interested?

Well, I've been in the last two LOTR games here, one CODA the other d20, and both died when the respective DMs just disappeared without notice. I would love to play in one that lasts as I'm sure some of the other ex-players would (there were several players that were in both doomed games - rangerjohn, Inez Hull, etc.). My preference is for a d20 version of the game. I don't have 3.5 but I could make due with the SRD, I think. As for CODA, I've got that book too, if everyone else wants to play that system.

I'll keep checking this thread to see how the idea progresses...

edit: I am writing down my specifics as I formulate my plan. I will not follow canon Middle-Earth to the hilt, but there is heavy inspiration. While I would also give the CODA system a try, the game will be Second Age, prior to the events of the LotR. Either system is fine with me.

I'm definitely interested! I was in the previous CODA LotR game, and I'd love to take another crack at it. I'm up for either 3.5 or CODA, whichever other players have access to.
