Oh, and yes, thankfully no snow.

Tis well and good if it stayed at the ski resorts, but it likes to muck up the roads something wicked here.

I like snow, as long as I don't have to drive through it or shovel it. :)
Oh but see it's so rare here that the city essentially shuts down with an inch of snow :D

heh. you've just described a normal day of work for me.

Always inventing new ways to keep myself entertained.
ugh, I post here and play inane online games. I should be doing homework, but I don't want to start so soon after school

yeah. I was in Greece during that big European snowstorm back in January 2001. We got out of Athens right before it hit there. Lucky, since Athens closed down for almost a week cause of an inch or two. Most of the roads closed down behind us. Thankfully, we stayed one step ahead of the storm (except the first night in Tripolis). By the time we were scheduled to get back to Athens, the snow was all gone.

How was Greece? I'd love to go there; my dad says it's amazing

It is absolutely beautiful there. the hills and sea are quite breathtaking. And the ruins are really cool to explore.

I had hoped to go on a dig in Cyprus this past summer, but the professor thought it best to take a year off to compile data (considering the semi-recent hostilities).

Are yo studying archaeology?

Greek and Roman Civilizations was one of my majors. While I was a language and culture concentration, I took archaeology classes too for fun and to broaden my knowledge base (to make me more desirable for grad schools). One of the last archaeology courses I took was a two part course on the Art & Archaeology of Cyprus. The course covered from prehistoric all the way up to current events on Cyprus. Great class.

That's really cool, I;m very interested in Roman history (in fact, I'm taking a no credit, no work, etc Latin class at lunch

Latin was fun. I had a year of it in highschool, then for my beginning Latin class, I had the same professor who taught my high school teacher.

I took Intermiediate Latin 1 the same time as I took Latin Prose Authors (Advanced Latin), because the professor for advanced was going on sabatical and wouldn't be back til after I was to graduate. Both classes were fun. Unfortunately, Intermediate Latin 2 was cancelled due to low enrollment.

That's pretty cool, Our class is taught by the head of the upper school, and he's a pretty odd guy, he gave me the nickname of nicoletto, a splicing of my names, it's a fun class, but it's not lke we learn a lot quickly it's just twice a week during lunch, no quizzes, tests or homework, otherwise I swouldn't have the time for it
