OOC: The following might have nothing to do with TBoAA, unless it affects how often I will be able to post in the future.

Our children (grades 2, 3, 4) have been attending a public school that is year-round, so their vacation is split up into two six week vacations instead of one twelve week summer vacation. Their first day of this vacation was Friday. Tomorrow I am going to go to their school and withdraw them, and enroll them in a home school academy. Tomorrow I become their primary teacher, with my wife as the principal, curriculum designer, and co-teacher on most Fridays (she does not teach on Fridays, and usually does not have meetings on Fridays either). My job as a house dad just got quite a bit more challenging, although the beginning period of adjustment should not be too bad because our children would be on vacation anyway and we have always had them do schoolwork during their vacations.

I am thinking about mentioning this on Monte Cook's boards in the Rants and Raves sections, but I am not sure if this news is a rant or a rave.

I don't know whether to congratulate you, or pity you. That's a lot of work you've taken on and I wish you and your family the best. I'm sure you're doing what's right, so best of luck to you.

I'm curious if this is because of dislike of the year-round system or for other reasons (since I've got a 20month-old, we're a ways away form that). I have some friends who are home-schooling as well. If you want to talk about it (or have someone to rant to), drop me a line by email.

We actually like the year-round system, although the intermediate school has the traditional school year, which means that within two years our children would have been on different vacation schedules. That is one factor in our decision. I have E-mailed you a list of others, John.

Infiniti, I also do not know how to feel about this for myself, but I definitely think it is best for my family. Regarding the work I have taken on, I probably have (I mean had) too much free time on my hands as a house dad, as shown by my frequent responses to TBoAA during the week.

Uhh...been on PacificPoker.com quite a bit. My success rate there is much better than in the ToC. ;-)
I've taken a quick look at the CR3 competitors - hopefully I can narrow it down to the top 3 "soon-to-be-whacked" LE goons this week.
