CN vs. N: Chaotic Neutral Victorious!

OOC: I counted it up and it seems to be round 81, if it helps.

The bow and shortsword drop to the ground a split second after the githzerai's body does. Then, all of it disappears as they get teleported to the Infirmary where an angry General I2K awaits. "Administer the curative magic, Priest."

When githInfiniti-San awakens, he looks up in fear. "Oh, sir!"

The general grabs him by the throat, "You incompetent imbecile. You dishonor your name."

*snap*

The chaond winces at the sound of the githzerai's neck snapping like a twig. He involuntarily croaks, "Er."

A humanoid figure moves into the arena at 30N5E, focusing his Dodge on the scorpion and tossing a readied dart. He speaks in a gravelly voice, "This won't take long." Only his eyes, shifting unnaturally in the ambient light of the arena, reveal his nonhuman nature.

The dart hits (17-2=15 for long range (you get -2 unless you are less than a range increment distance away (something I learned just recently because of this battle))) for 1 point of damage. The scorpion has 11 HP left.

The scorpion scuttles up to 25N5E and pokes at you with one claw, hitting (rolled 21). The scorpion tries to grab you, but you are too big. The chaond takes 3 points of damage, and has 2 HP left.

OOC: We're using the 3.5 update booklet, right? The stats for the chaond are a little different. He does 1d4+1 with the dart and he has 6 hp. With the sickle, he's +2 attack (1d6+1 damage).

The chaond will maintain his Dodge on the scorpion, pull out his sickle and pretty much fight to the death. He can't outrun the scorpion.

Time Compress?

OOC: I failed to look in the 3.5 booklet, but I remember this being mentioned for the chaond in another arena. So the scorpion has 10 HP left and the chaond has 3 HP left.

Time compress on.

The chaond hits for 3 points of damage. The scorpion hits with one claw for 2 points of damage. Chaond is at 1 HP and scorpion is at 7 HP.

The chaond hits for 4 points of damage. The scorpion hits for 4 points. The scorpion is at 3 HP and the chaond is at -3 HP and is defeated.

Gansk will have to take over. CN goes next.

General I2K stands up and applauds the brave and excellent fight by the chaond. His lieutenants and captains belatedly applaud as well, waiting of course to see what the general's ever-changing reaction would be.

A very short human with the head and legs of a goat moves into the arena north of the scorpion and positions himself at 30N5E. Uri is not taking a chance that he could get bullrushed out. He'll rely on his resistance to injury to keep him safe from the claws and stinger of the scorpion and kill it with head butts. In actuality he'll step around the scorpion for no other reason than for the heck of it, but not stepping on the west side (so as not to get bull rushed).

Every once in a while, Uri bangs the flat of the hand axe on the top of his head, wags his bushy tail, and says in a random language (one of Sylvan, common, gnome, or elf), "Olé!"

OOC: In practicality, at the end of the fight (assuming the urisk wins, just place him in a random spot).

Round 88: Same as above.

Round 89: Same as above.

Round 90: Same as above.

Round 91: Uri hits for 4 and avoids a draw! The scorpion drops at -2 hp.

A large monstrous centipede moves to 20N40E.

"Crap! A centipede?" Uri waves a fist toward the Eastern edge of the arena, "Don't you have any stupid humanoids over there? Maybe a dwarf or something?"

OOC: Can I get a knowledge (nature) check? I don't want to make assumptions about what the lubin might know about his opponent. Fortunately, his tactics are still pretty simple. If knows that the centipede does not have reach (and it doesn't) he will charge it with a head butt and fight it to the death. If does not know it doesn't have reach, he will either ready to attack it (5ft-step first as part of the ready, if you allow it) or delay then 5ft-step and attack. If he charges, he'll end up in 25N35E.

Round 92

The lubin knows that the centipede has vermin traits, darkvision, and a poison bite, but isn't sure about the reach.

He takes a 5 foot step to 25N10E and readies his head.

The centipede charges to 20N15E. Uri misses.

The centipede bites for 0!

Round 93: Both miss.

Round 94: Both miss.

Round 95: Uri hits for 2, centipede misses. Centipede has 11 hp left.

Round 96: Both miss.

Round 97: Uri misses, centipede bites for 0.

Round 98: Uri hits for 3, centipede bites for 0. Centipede has 8 hp left.

Round 99: Uri hits for 1, centipede bites for 3. Uri 6 hp, centipede 7 hp. Uri resists the poison.
Round 100: Uri hits for 5, centipede misses. Centipede has 2 hp left.

Round 101: Uri hits for 3! Centipede is defeated.

A two-humped camel moves to 20N40E. The lubin knows a camel has animal traits, scent, and 5 foot reach.

Uri shakes his fist again and yells out in Sylvan, "Damn you all! I wish I were just an Urisk!"

He then casts speak with animals and intimidates Joe Cool, "Listen up, camel. I don't know what your general told you, if anything, but you're doomed in here. Why don't you just go back where you came from and leave this place before you get hurt?"
