I hope that none of my players have seen this movie. The whole time I was watching this tonight, I kept thinking "man, this movie would make a KICK ASS adventure for Call of Cthulu!"

Yes it would. Except I would want nothing more then to cleave one of my players in two with the doors. Maybe you should include a NPC for that very reason.

When I was watching it I was thinking how cool it would be to use "walls with spells to hold back evil spirits" in my D&D game.

The original (1960) aired recently on American Movie Classics (AMC). A much different flick. If your cable provider has AMC look for it.

BTW, the "Evil Witch of the West" from The Wizard of Oz is in it as a housekeeper/medium/witch.

GREAT movie partially marred by a tell-tale feel good ending that made no sense based on the entire movie that came before it.

Hey! I saw this on Friday night! Interesting movie - although the family seemed to take the ghosts in their stride after a few days.

They also gave too many clues to the (obvious) 'twist' by having the "USE YOUR VIEWER NOW" come up just before they wanted you to see a ghost.* No doubt a fun gimmick in its day.

Is the remake like that I wonder (I have yet to see it)?

I got him beat. I posted about this when asking about what movies would make Good Lovecraft stuff. Surprisingly then everyone said .... it wouldnt.

So you have my vote.

On TBS there is a movie called Disappearance. Wednesday night 8 and 10 (im east coast) CHECK IT OUT!! The movie is VERY Lovecraft
