[CoC] Sick-n-Twisted (Fresh Meat)

Jeez Jim, your packing. S**t. And what the hell is going on?

"Yo Jim," Bruder says quitely, "Take a seat."

"I don't think anyone is going to go ballistic here." he adds, as much to the hooded figure as anyone.

"We are all civilised people", this time he leans a little down and towards the stranger. "Right? ..."

Christ this in danger of getting way out of control. I gotta calm Jim down before things go pear shaped.

Then, if this guy doesn't play silly buggers, we might be able to find out what's going on. But I'm not going to be able to hold him down if he really starts to struggle. So if he does I'm just gunna hafta hip and shoulder him off the end of the bench.

OOC: Kuro, I'm assuming that the guy is on my left. No particular reason, I just visualised it that way. If it had been the other way around I would have gone for the sore arm probably.

Could you give me some background on my mother?

Edit: Should have edited this into the previous post.

Jim backs off, holstering his weapon, but doesn't sit. "Just lemme know if I should pop a cap in his ass," he responds threateningly in a hushed tone, like Bruder speaking more for the stranger's benefit. He keeps an eye on the occupants of bar and monitors the door, keeping himself ready to jump in if the man gives Bruder any trouble.

What's up with this freakin' gimp? Jim wonders. As Bruder questions the man, Jim occasionally looks at the man's legs and left arm, if visible, trying to see if there's anything distinctive about his apparent disabilities.

(OOC: LOL, was writing mine while you were writing yours. Jim can always jump in to help. I don't trust that arm of his though)

Bruder expells a small sigh of relief as he sees Jim put away the gun.

"It's cool Jim. But we'll keep the offer in mind, won't we?" he says, giving the hooded guy a small shake.

I really hope that I broke his nose.

"I think its time for you to start talking. You have our full attention."

ooDM:  geez dudes, you're psychos!

inDM:

The man seems remarkable indifferent despite being given a bashing that should have knocked him senseless.

"What? don't you read you're mail?"

Bruder's memory flashes back. He remembers being too grumpy to even think about looking for mail the past couple days.

The few people in the bar arn't interested in your personal scuffle, and don't see Jim's gun.

"I apologise, but I think that i've told you enough for one day Bruder. It wouldn't do for me to go blabbing to everyone about what's goin on would it?"

Bruder's grip suddenly slackens. He feels the fabric of the man's jacket slide through his fingers as the man stands and starts to walk away. He doesn't know how it happened, only that he was holding on with all the strength of his anger, and that wasn't gonna let lose just like that.

The man is departing slowly, still limping, as if goading you to follow him.

ooDM: just insert generic mother doghead, normal loving, caring sorta woman, lives with husband in middle-class district, etc.

?

Bruder turns to Jim and holds up a hand in a classic gesture of restraint.

"Let him go. There are enough a*seholes in the world without going looking for more."

The guy is a freak. It's all bulls**t. But just the same I need to get in touch with mum.

If he looks back, Bruder casually flips him the bird.

and check the mail ... I should do that before calling ...

"Grab a seat man. I think its your round."

Once he's out of the bar, we'll follow him. But I don't want to give him any reason to suspect that we will. Whats the best way to pick up his trail? Maybe out the back ...

OOC: Jim can't really pick up these aspects from Kuro's description

Jim is oblivious to some of the subtleties of what just occurred. He can only assume that this must have been some family friend, however bizarre, and feels chagrined about threatening the man.

"Sorry about your mom Bruder. Do you really think drinkin anymore is what you should be doing right now?"

"Just sit and act as if nothing has happened," Bruder says quietly, the casual smile on his face quite at odds with the look in his eyes.

"And listen. As far as I know my mum is fine. I have know idea who that freak was but I want to. As soon as he is out of sight I am going to follow him. You game? It might get hairy. I don't know what happened there - he just slipped out of my hands like ... I wasn't there. I had him held down pretty good I thought ... "

OOC: Nice IC work Bruin.

Jim does as Bruder instructs, sitting calmly.

"It looked like you just let him go. But I'm up for it, sure," he replies. "If there's any sneaking-up to be done, I'm the one you want doing it. But what was that he said about the mail? Did you get some sort of message or something?"

Before Bruder can respond: "Sorry if my piece scared you. I'm a good shot with it, but it's mainly just for show if I get in a tight place. Never had to use it on anyone, and I'll be much better of if I never have to."

Jim studies Bruder carefully. Is Bruder holding out on me? He has to know something about that guy, at least, if he got something in the mail.

Bruder pauses for a moment, a bit nonplussed by Jim's comment about guns.

With a shake of his he says, "Forget about the gun. It done. The guy is almost at the door. I'm glad you're in. You know more about this kinda stuff than I do. I wanna know where he goes. I'll follow your lead. What's the best way to do this?"
