[CoC] Sick-n-Twisted (Fresh Meat)

"What's the best way to do this?"

Disappointed that Bruder isn't coming clean with him about whatever he got in the mail, Jim nevertheless trusts him enough to go along with the caper--at least for a while.

"Well, the weather is a b*tch right now, and that makes tracking him harder. It also makes it easier to keep out of sight though."

"Here's what I'll do. I'll make like I'm going to the bathroom, and go out the back door. Then I'll scout him."

"If he's going on foot, I'll give a knock on the bar door when he's moved off a ways. I'll follow him on foot for a while, as much as I can stand in this downpour, and you follow me in the truck, back at a distance so I'm just in your sight. That way, if he goes mobile, like he grabs a bus or something, I'll signal you and we can follow in the truck."

"If he's going mobile from the get-go, I'll just come in and get you, and we'll follow in the truck as much as we can."

OOC: if Bruder agrees, Jim will get up and follow this plan until Kuro tells us what happens.

Bruder nods, then watches as Jim get up and heads for the back. Settling back in the chair, he picks up his beer and he takes a swig. Its a good opportunity to see if the gimp has left the building.

You both watch inconspicuously as the guy leaves the bar. Jim heads round the back, and watches as the man gets into a black sedan. He isn't being particularily careful, and jim has plenty of time to get back to Bruder and get to the truck. You keep a good distance behind the guy, following him to a dingy part of town. Most of the people who live here are poor, and paint flakes off the walls. The man enters a driveway just beside a burnt-out church.

Bruder's thought race and fall over themselves as he starts up the truck and they pull out onto the road. The mail? What was in the mail? He was talking to Jack as we came in ... gotta ask Jack about it. Call mum ... What time is it?

As they follow the black sedan through the rain streaked streets, the conversation is initially quite animated. Bruder answer's Jim's questions as best he can. There is some speculation, a little planning. But as the journey continues, with nothing substancial to feed on, the conversation dies. Occasionally, Jim gives Bruder some instructions and Bruder follows them.

"I don't like this," Bruder mutters, half to himself and half to Jim. "It feels ... bad, like we are getting played, like we, we ... He's slowing. Yeah, he's pulling into that driveway. Its a ... old church? I'm going to keep going a bit a see if I can turn off this road."

OOC: Question:

1) Is he travelling alone? Did he get into the drivers seat? (from Jim or Observation).

2) Does he enter the church driveway?

3) What's around the church?

Bruder starts, "Got it! I know what's been bugging me about all this. The Gimp walks in and gives us the wind up. But he's not looking for a fight, cos he walks away. And he's not looking to talk cos he coulda done that after he got up. He didn't even try. He wasn't scared. So, what did he want? What are the other options? Follow him. That's about it. That's what we are doing. I wanna mess with him."

"Who's currently on the police :):):):) list? Names, vehicles, you know anything?"

"So you're thinking the gimp is using himself as bait, to get you to follow him out here? If that's it, then we better be careful. You may wanna mess with him, but he may wanna mess with you too."

Jim isn't really anxious though; he lives for this sort of action. Whatever Bruder does with the truck at this point, Jim tries to keep a careful eye on the driveway, to see if the guy gets out and where he's headed.

"Eh?" Jim replied. "Sorry, I didn't catch that part"

OOC: Eh? Sorry, I didn't catch that part. :D

The dude is travelling alone, and enters the church driveway. The house to the left of the church is slightly charred and boarded up, houses to the right are in poor condition, weedy gardens etc. They look mostly empty.

Opposite the church is a small playground, surrounded by houses similar to those on the right. No-one is out at the moment because of the rain, the street is pretty much empty. Feel free to add props as needed.

"We call in a sighting of someone, or a vehicle, the police are looking for. Something from the news preferably, or Crimestoppers. A sighting at the church. Then we see what happens."

Jim's mind flashes back to the news he'd watched as Bruder was cooking dinner.

"Well, they were showing the sketches of that guy who's been assaulting young women around here. Nasty looking scar slanting to the left of his left eye, with a goatee and shaved head. Hard to miss. I'll run back a few blocks to that phone booth we passed and call it in--don't wanna use my cell for this. Gotta see where he goes first, though."

Bruder is not travelling particurly fast at the mo'. Given the rain and the fact that people often move slowly around the back streets as they try and find their way, he doesn't think its conspicious.

OOC: We've talked a bit so we've probably past the church.

"Whoa, hold up. Did you see if he got out? I'll turn off at the next street then throw a U-turn. We'll go back past the church again and see if the car is still there. If it is we can keep going and make the call at the phone box. Wadda you think?"
