Collaborative Setting: An Age of Wyrms

The Lost Generation and the birth of Kobolds

The special status of Kobolds dates back to their "birth" as a race. Upon their destruction by the chromatic dragons the final dying curse of the elves caused a profound curse to fall upon all dragons. Every egg that hatched after the final elf fell yielded Kobolds in the place of dragon hatchlings. Dismayed dragons grappled with their warped spawn and lead to far reaching changes in the structure of draconic society. The deliberate creation of half-dragons and other progeny, the "prohibition against extinction", and several other major changes date from this period. This situation persisted until the metallic dragon’s intervention and the creation of the First Great Council of Wyrms; which alleviated the curse.
Kobolds have never forgotten their origins and have grown numerous and prosperous due to the patronage of their “elder siblings”; their elite status within the Draconies persists to this day.

Commerce is tolerated -and incentivated- in most Dragonies because of the simple matter that the Drake has the need for supplies for his servants/citizens/troops, and each region has it's strength in production (as well as the technique to refine materials).

Yet some Dragonies try to keep it at a minimum, cutting down their dependance, using materials aviable in the region. Which brings some interesting consequences of items normally made out of, say, iron, made out of stone or ironwood being not the exception but the norm.

The trade currency is based on Steel (Fangs), Iron (Claws), Bronze (Talons), and Copper (Scales) (All Arcane Marked by a Drake).

This is due to dragons' natural attraction to precious metals... [to develop]

Drakes are the Dragons who own the greatest hoard in a given Dragony, if any Dragon or Scaleless attempts to outbest the Drake's hoard, things can will get nasty.
