Just to prevent the OT forum from being inundated, can we combine and sticky all existing Saddam threads?

Note that the first two have been closed, and I'd imagine that all future ones will be closed, or deleted.

How about an announcement, then? To let people know that we know Saddam has been captured, that it's an inappropriate topic for ENWorld, and that threads like that will be closed?

Otherwise, the proliferation will be awful.

Is EN World really a place where people would find out that kind of news?

Anyway, I'm sure that any such announcement would be just as off-limits as a thread. At most they might put an annoucement reminding people to avoid off-limits topics (as they did a in the Spring). The whole point is to keep EN World focused on gaming. I think even a stickied and locked announcement as described above would veer us away from that focus.

It is unfortunate that events like this put stress on our fine moderators.
