Well I did learn something about Wonder Woman.
Very nice overview from the 30s to present. Was not impressed with some of 80's artists viewpoints. It did show that the artists were always fighting the old timers and business model.
I did get tired of some of comic panel scans. They try to make look like you were reading a comic occasionally.
I remember about the senate hearings but wish they had some one who was there to give opposing viewpt. Basically had Stan the man Lee saying and smirking, Oh there was this goof ball with Dr in front of his name.
I will give it a B+.

Oh They did mention the drug issues of Spidey in the seventies. I had those. But they didn't mention the Saturday Night Special, no not the comedy show, the gun, spidey comic. Which was a news item in its day.
I think they could have spent a little more time on non Super Hero books but except for the begining strips and some in the fifties they just spoke on heros and forgot the Archie, Tom and Jerry, Richie Rich etc.

Cool! They even had the stuff about the artists' jam session for the Human Torch/Sub Mariner Comic.

Did I understand them right that the same man who designed the LIE DETECTOR designed Wonder Woman?!?!?!

It was a pretty fascinating show all told, and an excellent look into the "Marvel Comics Counterculture" of the 1960's.

I was really impressed with the whole documentary. It was really informative for someone who didn't know about the history of some heros. (A side note for Jasper, the show was called Comic Book HEROES not Archie and Richie Rich, while i agree it would've been nice to see, that would've been way too much information to try and cram in, they still missed a ton anyways!) Like I said, it was a great show for those who maybe didn't know anything about heroes, while it did leave some of us experienced fans disappointed. I would've liked to have seen some more info on the buy-out and reformation of Marvel Industries that led to the recent explosion of popularity. And I think they missed a lot of important characters like Blade, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! But it was a great documentary, and I might even consider going online and ordering the DVD!
