Comic Buffy vs. TV Buffy

I thought people might find interest in this article's analysis comparing various illustrators' representation of Buffy. It's written by a former student of mine, so I'm bursting with pride. (Fair cop: I'm the editor.]

You have to wait for the blank pages to load. There's a LOT of graphics on each page. There's a little circle that goes from noon and then once it's completed the circuit clockwise the page loads. (It was the only way we could keep the layout of the author without paying like fifty bucks.)

It doesn't work on iPads, because Apple hates flash. It works fine on my mac's safari and firefox browsers though.

Nice work. Is her own document darker in the center of the gutter, or is that some gimmick of the site it's hosted on? Because when I'm reading on a screen, I don't need the illusion of physical depth messing with the color and contrast of a document.

I'm not sure it really says anything I couldn't have figured out myself, but it was still fun to read, and had very inviting layout. If anything, it gave me a better appreciation of how multiple levels of creative input combine to form a single presentation of authorship.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Glad you liked. The effect is due to the flashpageflip site, not something designed by her or us.
