Lord Mhoram
Hero
I help run a Game and Comic shop so I read way to many comics.
The titles I collect:
Rising Stars
Warlands
Nodwick (and any who plays D&D and doesn't read this title should be flayed)
Dork Tower (I work at a FLGS/GLCS of course I read this)
Savage Dragon
Star Wars Trade Paperbacks
Avengers
The Ultimates
Captain America (the new series)
Exiles
JLA
JSA
Power Company
The Legion
Sigil
Scion
Meridian
Crux
Negation
The Way of The Rat
Crossgen is just putting out amazing stuff. Its sort of the inverse of how Image started. Company controlled, good writing, great titles (No I don't think much of Image).
The big two have their problems (DC does too many crossovers and has a tendancy to stick to the middleground, and Marvel just doesn't generally let thier characters be heroic, and when they do they spend way to much time on the personal problems, rather than the super stuff) but they both have some good stuff. I liked the opening run on Green Arrow, but as I expected Smith ruined it. I was expecting him to do it sooner, so I at least got one good storyline out of it.
I'm a big fan of the guys in tights and just love the superhero genre. I've been playing Superhero RPGs since 85 pretty much nonstop.
I try to follow writers. I love Busiek, like Wade and JMS, I've enjoyed Morrison on the JLA but wouldn't follow him to an X title. I avoid Ellis, and really watch it with Moore.
