My 4e gift set was just unceremoniously thrown at my door by some no-name courier!

Four weeks early!

I had a July 16th delivery estimate. Anyone else getting theirs early or am I just a lucky chucky?

Yeah, I got a shipment notice by email on the 10th of June. I also pre-ordered in March.

I just got an email saying they were "about" to ship it. Hopefully it reaches Tokyo before the Aug 1 date they had told me previously...

Mine was preordered in February, shipped on the 8th and delivered to my door yesterday.

I'm puzzled as to why they shipped them from Frankfurt, but hey, books!

Mine was preordered in February and has been delayed TWICE now. I'm not expected to get it until August. And to make matters worse, a friend of mine here in Auckland who preordered AFTER me has already gotten his! WTF Amazon?!

Same here. After the second delay I ordered elsewhere. Such approach is absolutely unacceptable...

Where is "elsewhere" in your case? Everywhere else that I've looked is also suffering from not having enough stock ...

Except, of course, the LGS, which has heaps, but they not only charge double what amazon charges, but also they're charging MORE for the gift set than the individual books, which is just bizarre.

Ah,excellent. I think mine had the same dates, should be here over the next few days (hopefully tomorrow and not after the weekend. . . actually, scratch that. Exam on monday, I hope they arrive then!)

I must admit, the $50 saving was just too much to pass up, the Australian retailers just dont seem to be passing on the strong state of the dollar onto the consumer.

In all fairness, I doubt it's their fault. They're probably buying from an Australian distributor which dictates the cost.

Funnily enough, they'd be better off ordering from Amazon...
