Gene/Dante - I don't have a set date as to when the TMP will open. We're trying for the next couple of months, but it is still up in the air. Believe me, I have bugged my poor lead far more than I should. We are still waiting on official stuff from higher ups and all that. When I do get a set date, I'll let you know.
I do want to thank you all for being so patient with this setting discussion and the creation of the new room. It started off with Dantain doing much of the creation and me going to him for a lot of questions. Dantain then left the team, leaving lil' ole me to be the coordinator. I'm going to do my best to make this a fun room you all can enjoy and have input in.
Like Ssussunriyh said, I would like to see this room played correctly. I don't want to see a bar full of vamps running about proclaiming how wonderful undead life is. Sorry, but that is
not what this place is about. Like Pounamu said, this isn't a place for animals to come wandering in. We'll be putting up more "specific" setting rules. Here is what I have now, which is still tentative and can change at any time...
1) No animals in the Night Club. This is a public night club, not a kennel. Animals will be quickly shown the door.
2) No weapon wielding. Yes, your character can carry a gun/knife, etc but don't go flashing it about the Night Club or you might well find yourself shown the door.
3) Magic and other "fantasy" type deals are to be left to a bare minimum. If you have magical abilities, great, but don't go about showing it off or you may not like the results.
4) The WizOs that work TMP are staff of the Night Club, and Reesa's employees. Reesa is the owner of the Club and what she says go, so be respectful. (Bringing Reesa presents is always a good thing.
)
5) The Meeting Place is a Night Club, and as such there is an Age of Majority involved. Peoples under the age of 21 (I believe that was what we agreed on, but will get more input later so don't worry..
) will not be admitted into the Club.
That's all that I have currently which I can share with you all. When I get more definite stuff and can post them, I will. Also, when it gets closer to the date of opening, I will write up a history of TMP and the "world" for everyone's information. We'll eventually have a web site created for The Meeting Place for easy information.
