Just to reiterate, so you don't have to go back and hunt through the entire thread...
TMP is a night club in an upscale neighboorhood in New York City in the year 2030. Reesa is the owner, and any other hosts are her employees who work there.
Magic, nonhuman characters, psionics, and anything of that nature should be kept to a minimum, and all such things MUST be hidden or disguised in some way. If you play an elf, a psion, or a werewolf, don't show it off. You're supposed to be posing as a normal human in a society where such things are unknown or legendary. (Yes, the supernatural can exist, but it should be subtle and secret - glimpsed out of the corner of your eye, not right up in your face.)
The management of TMP maintains a "don't ask, don't tell" policy with regard to weapons. All weapons MUST be concealed, unless your character is an NYPD officer in uniform. Remember that a license to carry is only that - permission to carry a gun, not to pull it out and wave it around. (That falls under the crime of "brandishing a firearm.") And let's try to keep it within sane, reasonable limits. A pistol or a knife can be concealed under normal street clothes, but an assault rifle or a sword cannot be.
The world is much like the normal, everyday one that you see in real life. As such, normal customs and laws apply. Before you do anything rash, think about how real people would react to it in real life. If a particular action would create a panic or get you arrested IRL, it will do so in TMP, as well. And if you persist, don't be surprised if Reesa or her employees show you the door (or throw you out of it!)
