AGAIN my issue is I feel the 2014 Command ENCOURAGED PROBLEM PLAYERS TO IGNORE SESSION ZERO AND LINES AND VEILS and then cry "muh creativity!" when called on it.Group playstyle discussions are exactly what you should have before starting play. If you know this kind of thing comes up and it's not for you, hey, maybe you shouldn't join that group.
I certainly don't have the right to say I don't want toilet humor on my table, according to thins thread.Which isn't to say that you don't have the right to play how you want-
Well I guess you could be respectful enough to not use fallacious argument, but you're clearly not.Well, I guess we should take the entire Enchantment school out, as it can be rapey, along with Necromancy, as violating the dead is creepy, and eliminate combat, since some people don't like vivid descriptions of blood and guts and you can always find someone willing to be descriptive about it.
Play some ptbA or Forged in the Dark games.First of all, what do you mean when you say D&D isn't open-ended?
My groups are fine, because I do not play with people who would do this kind of thing.Second of all, every thing you post on this screams "there's a problem player needs dealing with", not that the game itself is at issue.
I'm sure when the game offers people who pick it up to live through adventures from fantasy genre, nobody's idea of it is "lets undercut everything for the sake of fart joke".It isn't, but why shouldn't it be?
