It might have been done before, but I programmed a command line dice roller that runs on Windows, Linux and OS X.
You can perform any roll you wish, ranging from standard 1d6 to something like 13d11
The utility acts like an Unix utility, it takes input from the command line and gives output to the command line. You have to keep you command line terminal window open in order to use it.
