In another thread, I discussed the process I use to assure that I (as a Rogue) have combat advantage as often as possible.
I wanted to incorporate the inventive use of common items to setup advantageous situations from which a rogue could gain combat advantage - so here I am, asking for your help to do so!
Specifically, I was hoping to round up ideas that...
...are feasible within the game rules (D&D 4e)
...don't require the rogue to lug awkwardly shaped or overly heavy items to make the effect happen
...grant the rogue combat advantage or put them in a position to benefit from a situation more than they otherwise might be able to
So, I'm going to start with a really simple one...
1. Here they come! Quick, a distraction…
Are you about to be caught somewhere you shouldn’t be? Place a bag of coins in the middle of the room (or another intriguing object). When the visitor(s) enter, they will likely approach the bag to see what it is or even take it. Use the opportunity to move from the shadows and escape… or attack them with combat advantage.
I hope to add more tomorrow after some sleep
