Complete Champion

Oh I know.

It's just WoTC seems on the true path of medicority.

Spell descriptions that are repeated in the game mechanics of the spells? Check.

PrCs that take up four to five pages? Check.

Expanded monster descriptions that take up two pages? Check.

It's like WoTC has run out of things mechanically interesting to do and is running around trying to fill that void.

Thos blips would be when WoTC does something that I'd consider out of left field like Tome of Magic or Magic of Incarnum. At this point they're release schedule seems almost painfully obvious to predict but hey, I'm always hopeful.

Based on the name, I'm thinking it will be a paladin-focused book, with alternative paladin-like classes (perhaps variations on those in UA) and feats to allow other charecter classes to get in on the smiting.

Wow. They ARE scrapping the bottom of the barrel here. :p :)

nah I'm thinking the companion to Complete Warrior will be Complete FIST! ;)

A book on the economics of a fantasy world would be awesom, but it would likely sell like a book on, well, economics. The fact is that WotC doesn't have the luxury of doing really cool niche products like that. They have to do books with wide appeal -- and that means books aimed at players with lots of options (feats, spells, PRCs, etc...)

Go tell green Ronin to do your book on Magical Prisons. They could and probably would and it could and probably would rock.

It would be tough to beat A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe, which is coming back into print this month from Expeditious Retreat Press. Gary Gygax has also lent his name to a similar product from Troll Lords.

I think Atlas Games' Crime & Punishment book (by Keith Baker) covers this, but I agree, magical prisons sounds cool.

Or provide support for other classes that fit the bill that are not from the Core books (as Razz likes to demand). The only rehashes currently are the X Compendium series.

Oh how interesting, it seems I've garnered quite a reputation here. :]

Demand is too strong of a word. Demanding would imply that I had the power to make them listen. Quite the contrary. An urgent request is more of what I do.

It makes sense to support the non-core classes, why make them and forget them? That's not fair to those who paid good money to get the most out of them and more.

I look forward to another line of Complete books. I enjoyed every Complete book (except for Psionics, that one sucked to all Nine Hells), and look forward to more.

And, this time, they can do a Complete Psionic correctly this time around since after Warrior and Divine will be a book based around psionics again.
