Complete Divine info?

Good question, it's only a month a way...

Checking the WotC site, there really hasn't been much. The In the Works articles haven't provided any of the usual crunchy previews.

I agree that it's rather odd to have a "news blackout" regarding a product that's due for an imminent release. We got loads of tidbits for "Complete Warrior". Wonder why they're not looking to generate any buzz on this one?

There is one little tidbit that I can post.

The end of the Expanded Psionics Handbook has a listing for two deities with psionic(-related) matter as part of their portfolios. The format for how they're listed is new, and a sidebar says that it's the formatting used in Complete Divine and other sources. It looks like so:

DEITY NAME
divine level (alignment)

Description of deity, description of deity's clerics' actions in soceity, deity's favored weapon.
Portfolio: deity's portfolio is listed here.
Domains: deity's domains are listed here.
Cleric Training: How new clerics of this deity are instructed.
Quests: Why clerics of this god would go adventuring.
Prayers: How basic prayers to this god begin, or are properly done.
Rites: Holy rites done in this deity's name.
Heralds and Allies: Heralds are creatures sent to the Material plane by a deity when it wants to personally intervene in affairs there. Allies are beings that would respond to the various planar ally spells.

I suspect they are focusing all the "buzz" on the EPH right now. I would guess they believe it to have potentially more sales (they've devoted several Dragon articles already; they don't do that for everything). Perhaps in another week or two we'll start seeing the Complete Divine promo push start to gear up.

Another thought: Complete Divine is the second in the Complete series. They may be depending on the Complete Warrior's reputation/series name to help push it.

or they figure everyone will buy Complete Divine anyway, so no need to push it. :)

EPH wont be as well adopted, so they want to push it. They're also pushing Eberron quite hard, since they seem to have a lot invested in it.

The pattern I have noticed for products that are "second teir" in marketing is we will see more info in about 2-3 weeks, when the review copies are sent out. "In the Works" at the end of this month will have an exerpt most likely. All their energy is on the Psionics.
Just after Complete Divine, the Marketing for Eberron will be increased to 11.

11? I would have thought 20. ;)

But it would be nice to see some complete Divine info other than what our good friend Alzirus provided.
