Complete Warrior, anyone else afraid...?

Anyone else afraid this is going to be a book filled with duplicated material?

From the preview on the main page, it looks like we're getting alot of the same Prestige Classes and Feats that we've already gotten in earlier books. Does the 3.5 update require this duplication?

I really liked the Draconomicon, but noticed the beginnings of duplicated material in there as well. I hope this doesn't become a trend!

Afraid? Heck no. It simply saves me money.

(You're apparently not an FR fan... we've had to put up with regurgitated material for years!)

yeah, but when it gets regurgitated, its ussually a fixed or streamlined or improved version. I am looking forward to the regurgitation in the Complete Warrior simply because I want to get rid of my splatbooks.

Not in the FR books, IMO. Quite the opposite, in fact.

A worthy goal.

I am getting tired of receiving the same material over and over again. They could have easily just updated the website periodically in order to make the old material 3.5 compatible.

It's a waste of my money. And it is even worse in 3.5 because it appears that the Complete Warrior is 50% or greater duplicated!

For me, I have decided against buying any "update" books until 4e. I own the 3.5 core books, but I am not spending the money to update all the splats. If my players want it, then they can buy for a change.

I think I can vamp off others until the next edition. There are ways to get the material without getting ripped off by Hasbro.

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind either, I just wish they would update all the class books, and what they dont put in the new books, they could maybe put them on the internet.

Updating some class book info, adding some new content and putting it all in one book. I'm there, baby.

I must admit that am a bit put off by the large amount of regurgitated material in this book. I don't mind having some updated feats and PrC's that don't work well in 3.5, but there seems to be a staggering amount of material straight from the splat books and Dragon magazine. If the new material is good enough it may make up for this, but they should at least reduce the price to make it worth buying.

See?

Huge $$$ advantages in not changing to 3.5 :D

Not that I play straight-up 3.0 either, but I see no need to rebuy the material that I have in a slightly different package. My books are still in fine shape and as long as my game is fun, I don't need the latest & greatest Shiny Thing (tm).
