If Skills come before Feats in the rigid order, I can't take a feat like Cosmopolitan to make a skill a class skill before spending my points.
If Feats come before Skills in the rigid order, I can't take a rank in Ride to qualify for the Mounted Combat feat.
It gets even weirder when you talk about Prestige Classes.
It doesn't actually state (in the 3E Core Rules at least) "These steps must be followed in order". The only reference is that class level must be picked first, found in the PrC section. Otherwise, it only says "When your character achieves a new level, make these changes."

Hmm. I'd rather go the 4 or 5 level paladin, then fighter. Not only because BAB+1, but because all the other nice stylish paladin stuff. And why using shield & scimitar? I'd prefer two elven lightblades, costs one feat but you'll have 18-20/*2 crit range weapons in both hands and can go for TWF, e.g. more attacks.Trainz said:Here's how I plan the Divine Fighter build.
You need good Str and good Cha, human. For example, he fights with Shield and Scimitar (not at 1st character level, but starting at 2nd).
1st: Cleric 1, Divine Shield, Extra Turning.
2nd: Fighter 1, Power attack FBF (Fighter bonus feat)
3rd: Fighter 2, Weapon Focus (scimitar) FBF, Divine Might
4th: Fighter 3
5th: Fighter 4, Weapon Specialisation (scimitar) FBF
6th: Fighter 5, Divine Vigor
7th: etc...
By giving up a +1 BAB, you gain a lot. A LOT. And all the bonuses gained by divine feats are unnamed bonuses.
The elven thinblade is even better.Darklone said:I'd prefer two elven lightblades, costs one feat but you'll have 18-20/*2 crit range weapons in both hands and can go for TWF, e.g. more attacks.

No idea what you mean, he gets some silly abilities to throw two weapons at once... but most of them seem to be redundant with TWF.
