[CON]: Looking for Convention Game Writers (Australia)

All,

The BIG (Brisbane Indoor Games) Weekend 2005 will be occurring on the 30th April to the 2nd May 2005 in Brisbane, Australia. The BIG Weekend is a gaming convention which specialises in all types of gaming especially Role Playing Games. The BIG Weekend is also Queensland's largest game convention.

We are currently looking for writers/gamemasters who would be interested in writing for the convention.

We would prefer people who write events to run them (or at least have someone to run them).

I highly recommend getting involved with "The BIG Weekend" on some level to everyone who can. I'm certainly going to try and do something, though I am not quite sure what, yet.

Capellan (Adam Windsor) typically runs stuff here, but he'll probably be back living in the states at that time. Arwink (Peter Ball) is your other target person that I know of.

Thanks for the support. Greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately this year we have been a bit behind the ball regarding RPG events, and this has been shown in what we have to offer thus far.

We are really keen to get more events going, but we need the help of the gaming community in Brisbane/Queensland.

As for Peter Ball, it looks as though he has promised to make up a team with his better half this year. So if anyone knows of some budding writers, or who would like to GM a game, let us know.

The better half has managed to make up a team with the better half of a bunch of other con writers and group regulars, so it looks like I'll be running stuff for the Con. At this point, probably a variant on HiJinx d20 and a few games of Adventure! D20. At least one will probably involve Zeplins and Giant Nazi Robots.

And another bump for the Brisbane crew - I've been to BIG two years straight so far, and had a blast both times. Anyone in the city should look at coming along, whether its as a player or a DM.
