Conan, because he is the Pimp-Daddy of Power, the Real Man, and the baddest fighter to ever come down the pulp-pike.
Elric in fact seems quite the Anti-Conan - powerful sword, used drugs, physically weak normally, took souls for a deity, comparatively cerebral, etc.
Conan was the most independent son of a gun on the planet. He fought to live, to grow wealthy, to spend it all, and be restless again.
He would probably wrestle Stormbringer from Elric's hands, snap his spindly little neck, and probably take Stormbringer for himself - leastways till stormbringer started whining about Arioch, and then he'd probably bury it in some black-hearted sorcerer's belly, and walk on, looking for a weapon with no sass, a ready woman, and a pouch of gold.
Conan was to me what John Shaft was to others.

Elric had the sense to wear some clothing.
Plus he was MAD. His inner conflicts were great to follow.
Conan always had all the answers, like John Carter of Mars - kind of boring after a while.

Elric by a landslide. Conan just never really held all that much interest for me. A wandering barbarian warrior just isn't my cup of tea, no matter how badass he is.
Now, a tormented albino sorceror struggling between his own conscience and evil tendancies while eating his enemies souls with an evil artifact sword? That is one of my defenitions of cool.

Conan won a Kingdom, Elric lost one. Elric is weak, Conan is strong. Elric is an aristocrat of an ancient civilisation, Conan is a barbarian. Elric is thoughtful and reflective, Conan is instinctive. Elric is a sorcerer, Conan is a warrior (and Elric is a lot like the demon-summoning villains Conan puts to the sword) etc...
That said, I can't find a definitive website pointing all this out. Does anyone know where one is, or is the above just internet-folklore?
Elric was quite the ladies man, though he usualy just ended up killing or betraying them at some point. =P However, with stormbringer at full effect, Conan probably wouldn't be near as strong as Elric to simply wrestle it away from him. If he did though, I think Stormbringer would just kill Conan itself as is its nature. It only keeps Elric around long enough to get the Job done after all.Henry said:
