As for the D20 license, don't forget all the flap over content restrictions of late. Perhaps Mongoose wants to be at liberty to depict bare-chested women chained to altars?

Well, if you look at the PDF previews, there's a bare-chested woman in the left-page margin art, which would violate the new "decency standards" (or whatever they're called) in the latest rev of the license.

Won't keep me from picking it up, though

Wow the previews certainly look nice !
-Good layout
-Really like the Scholar class
-the writing seems solid as well

Mongoose products have been hit & miss lately IMHO but I'm definitely picking this one up !

Also, I don't think $49.95 is too much to ask for a book like this. The FRCS was a 320 page full color hardcover and was $39.95. Conan is full color and HC, has 32pages extra and doesn't have quite as large a print run as the FRCS (oh and Conan is a licensed property). Considering that Mongoose isn't a non-profit organization the price seems reasonable.
