Conan the Adventurer TV series

When I first read the title I thought it was for the Cartoon. That rocked.

Altogether now, everyone sing the theme song:

Conan, the adventurer
Conan, warrior without fear
He's more powerful than any man
His legend spreads across the land and sea

Conan, the mightiest warrior ever!
His quest: to undo the spell of living stone cast upon his family
By driving the evil serpent men back into another dimension
And vanquishing their leader: the cruel wizard Wrathamon!
Conan, the adventurer
Conan, man of bravery
With his magic sword protecting
The mightiest of warriors is he

Feel the power!
Conan!

I watched mostly the cartoon series and enjoyed it greatly when it originally ran. I watched the first few episodes of the live-action series and thought it was okay. What I hated most about the show was that it appeared late at night and I always forgot to tape it.

Interesting trivia: He-Man was originally supposed to be Conan but Mattel changed their minds when they saw the violence in Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie. Just think, we could have had a Conan cartoon years before one was actually made.

Not that IS interesting! I had no idea, though I can certainly see that happening.

As it stands, I think this was a good thing. Masters of the Universe was an awesome franchise, and I loved the figures and, when I got to see it, the cartoon.

I thought you were talking about the cartoon also, I never even heard of the live action series, sounds like I didn't miss much however.
Well, for the most part, they had the right cast [Rolf Moeller(sp?) as Conan; appeared in Russelle Crowe's Gladiator]. But the story direction is less than impressive.

Huh, I had no idea that the live-action series had the same name as the cartoon. I never actually cared for either one.

Personally, I'd like to see the Sheena and Tarzan series get a dvd release. The Tarazan I'm referring to is the more fantasy oriented one, not the one with the blonde Tarzan.

I actually have a couple of props from the Sheena show. One is a machete and the other is a huge, sculpted panther head sign. I got them cheap on eBay. :)
