Concentration - Constitution or Wisdom

I generally think of concentration as a mental function and am thinking of changing it's key ability to wisdom. Anyone know why constitution was chosen or any reasons I shouldn't?

In games I run Constitution is regarded as how much extra pain you can endure. I would keep it the way it is now, as even the most dedicated wizard will wince with pain. Concentration to keep a spell going is what the wiz has to focus on, and getting thumped by someone in the process doesn't go away no matter how wise you are.

Heh! I agree with MarauderX, Darklone, and even a bit with Korimyr (the Rat)! Mages, etc., can already concentrate, and do it 100%. So can all spellcasters. This skill is about doing it while enduring something (pain, a rough ride, being tossed about, etc.). CON works, for me.

Switching it to Wisdom would make the fighter-types bad at it. IMO that would be plain silly. A tough dwarven defender (Wis 8, Con 30) should have a much higher natural pain tolerance than some asthmatic spellcaster (Wis 18, Con 6).
