Confirmed: No Warforged in PHB!

Hey, that's cool. At least they'll have stats fairly soon in the release. It's not like we'll have to wait for the Eberron setting book for them.

Best all-around option. Keeps one of the more estoteric types out of the PHB (which should be easily assecible, IMO) but puts it out soon for people who want to do Eberron right away, or just like the idea of a construct PC.

I'm kind of sad to see tha Aasimar are retaining that name, as well as not being put into the same sourcebook as their Tiefling counterparts. Ah well.

Wise choice.

Would they have been in PH1, they would have been included by default in nearly all settings.
Would they have been in PH2, Eberron players would have needed to wait a year.
Being in MM1, they need to wait only 1 month.

I'm glad that Aasimar are still being called Aasimar... Or Awesomer...

Unless they decided on renaming them Nephilim, or as a counterpart to Tieflings who have a name derived from German, giving them the German derived name of Engel-ling.

Depending on how they treat racial ability progression as you go up in levels, I suspect changelings and shifters will eventually take over doppelgangers and lycanthropes respectively.
Changelings into doppelgangers would be great.

Shifters into lycanthropes would be terrible.

I guess I'm hard to please :)

I'm happy to see that Warforged won't make it into the PHB. And as much as I like the drow and wanted them to be included as a subrace in the PHB, I admit that they are best suited to the MM for most campaigns. I can live with that.

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to wait another couple of months to see the new Drow. That's not so bad.
