Confrontation?

Durandal

First Post
OK, so I've been hearing a lot about Confrontation in my local store lately, and I'm curious. What little I've been able to puzzle out from the French website has me curious, and like so many other enterprising d20 players, I find myself wondering - has anybody tried to do anything to convert the setting the d20? Or would that just result in a Siembieda-like fit from Rackham with lots of French cease-and-desist orders? Anybody who can enlighten me, I'd be thankful.

I'd love to work on some d20 conversions based on ideas from the Confrontation mins/cards. Even if it were just for my own private use -They would make a great addition to my Homebrew Campaign in progress . The figures are great, and I have collected quite a few so far.

I have recently been scouring the net to see if anyone has done any d20 conversions yet. I even posted to their English forums to see if I could recruit any collaborators, but the moderators there closed those threads without much explanation.

Rackham's new "Hybrid" game would be a logical place to start ( converting the Alhemists/Clones... for an adventure using the supplied dungeon tiles and other themes.

Let me know if you might like to work on something together.

While we have seen the great paintjobs for the minis in the cataloges, has anyone seen any of the minis unpainted? Are they still any good or are the minis nothing without the ultra-professional painters?

Yeah, they're really nice and detailed. I got a few from Brookhurst Hobbies - two templars and a female necromancer, and they look terrific. I wish I could do one of the cool paint jobs like I've seen online, but for now they'll do just fine.

I've had a problem with a couple of bad castings from them in the past where hands have been misformed due to air bubbles or missing metal so if you can check the blister carefully.

Here is a link to an image showing the back of the box for the Hybrid game I mentioned in my last post - it shows some of the figures and the Dungeon tiles. The game is available in English... I bought mine from Fantization.com
What is this game like, BFG? What miniatures does it come with?

Thanks,
Jason

Check this thread on NKL for some discussions about Rackham's miniatures.

For those who go on the site in French, figurine means miniature. But you've probably puzzled that out already. :)
