Confusing Demons and Such

I like the idea of the daemons/yugoloths as the fiends of the Shadowfell. I hope WOTC sees your idea and decides to change their direction for them in the Monster Manual.

Though it wasn't pronounced demon as W&M claims. The only source that gave a pronunciation guide (an article in Dragon) had it as D-ay-mon.

If that's the case, then it's only because Gygax was pronouncing the word wrong. Every dictionary reference I can find notes it only as "di-mon"... except for the one describing daemon threads in computer programming, which lists both.

Actually the alternate idea of daemons/loths as demons even more corrupted by Tharizdun so they are dedicated to freeing him is also pretty interesting. Either that or associating them with the Shadowfell would both be more interesting than just making them normal demons.
