Ok, I thought I had this figured out beyond any doubt, but last weekend I got into an argument with my DM over the following:
When a PC has dropped below 0 hp, and is then Cured (CLW) but still below 0 hp, does he become Disabled (i.e. conscious but only non-strenuous partial actions allowed)?
Here are the relevant sections of the SRD (emphasis mine):
My interpretation is that CLW makes you stable (is that the same as stabilize?), and obviously you improve. But then why is that last paragraph in the quote so overly specific?

From the Condition Summary:
A character with 0 hit points, or one who has negative hit points but has stabilized and then improved, is disabled.
So... it is possible to be at negative hitpoints and be disabled, hence conscious. But you need to stabilize and improve. From Death, Dying & Healing:
If any sort of healing cures the dying character of even 1 point of damage, the dying character stops losing hit points and becomes stable.
Healing that raises the dying character's hit points to 0 makes the character conscious and disabled.
