Consequences for Partial Alignment Violation

Elephant

First Post
In my FR game, my CG Cleric of Tymora acted somewhat contrary to his alignment, enough to elicit comment from the DM, but not so far as to turn him into an Ex-Cleric.

See http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=121470 for further details.

My question is, assuming the character's behavior on this occasion is worthy of consequences, what should they be?

I'll be linking this thread for my DM - I'm assuming that the collective wisdom of ENWorld will be as helpful to him as it is to me :)

Also, I won't read replies until after the situation is resolved - I don't want to spoil whatever plot twists may result from discussion in here.

Does Tymora enforce rigid adherence to CG in your campaign? IMCs as long as the Cleric is clearly serving the deity's will they can be at least 1 step away from the deity's alignment, no problem. If rigid adherence is enforced an Atonement would be in order.

You might want to get the atonement anyway. Just to drive home to your goddess that you learned your lesson.

Or you could blow all your money gambling. Tymora's a fun goddess to make ammends with.

As for penalties, maybe just losing your highest rank of spells. So Tymora will cut you off from the heavy stuff, but she'll let you slide by with the rest of your spells. Kind of a divine slap on the wrist.
