Converted Campaign settings I'd like to see...

I'll add Sabrehagen's sword's series...

From comics, not sure if there is a Witching Hour, Sin City or Grendel conversion yet...

This is utterly wishful, but I've been thinking about what novels/series I'd like to see as a d20 campaign setting, namely....

  • Brian Lumley's Necroscope series (especially the Vampire World)
  • China Mieville's Perdido Street Station and The Scar
  • Neil Gaiman's Small Gods
  • Thieves' World
  • The Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton
  • Jack Chalker's Wellworld
  • A complete expanded Hyborian setting, like the one on Conan d20, but encompassing the entire world, expanding on what Robert E. Howard created
  • James Axler's Deathlands and Outlanders (yes, I know it's utterly cheesy...)
  • Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker series
  • Gene Wolfe's Urth of the New Sun
  • Stephen King's Gunslinger
  • Terry Goodkind's The Sword of Truth
  • Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars series

....and many more.

Which one's would you like to see?

Definitely a world based on George R.R. Martin's fantastic "Songs of Fire and Ice" series... harsh, brutal and low magic. Well, magic is emerging, but still not omni-present.

With apologies to all Goodkind fans....

FEAT: Death Threat

As a standard action you may threaten to kill someone who is not engaged in direct combat with you. Against all odds, this facilitates a mature dialogue and you gain a +4 circumstance bonus to all Negotiate rolls for that conversation only.

Yah, Song of Ice and Fire would be cool. I'd also like Niven's Known Space along with some ideas on how to generate wierd races for the Ringworld. Actually, Ringworld might be one of the supplements, that would be better and more complete.

A short book on Gemmels Drenai Saga would be cool, basically just a run down of the factions, history and NPC's since D&D rules would work.

I'd like to see them do a generic space book, with supplements to cover Star Wars, Ringworld, Asimov's empire, etc.

Crossgen

I would like to see SOjourn or Scion from Crossgen comics converted into a D20 setting. Actually the whole line would be pretty cool if they did a core book that outlined each comics world and major characters and the D20 rules. From there they could publish a setting book based on each title that goes into more depth on the comic book it is based on. WHen a new series is introduced to the Crossgen line they can wait for the first storyarc to end and pump out a new setting book. Each setting book could be followed by a mega adventure or a short adventure collection. Mostly I really want a Sojourn and Scion campaign setting book.

I think in a very old issue of Dragon they had a Drenai campaign. I'm thinking it was in the #78 or #82 range. It had more to do with converting over the 1st edition psi rules though.

Blaylock Settings

I myself would like to see James Blaylock's Twombly Town books converted. Despite trying to have adventures like The Defenders of Daybreak, I always wind up having adventures that are much less organized and successful.
