Converting Creatures from Other Campaign Settings

So we should replace "Need to spell out the venoumous part." with "Any creature that enters the drow vampire's space is exposed to drow vampire poison (see below)."

Drow Vampire Poison (Ex): inhaled, Fortitude save negates, initial and secondary damage 1d4 Con. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Updated.

I'm thinking we should change the material component of the DR to cold iron, like demons (and Lolth) rather than silver (like devils). The original writeup didn't mention any special materials, so it's not like we're destroying canon.

That's pretty much it.

Wasn't there some flavour text about the vampire's blood being poisonous - maybe if something bites the vampire they get affected by the poison as well?

That makes good sense to me.

I'm not sure I like 'enters' as it tends to imply that it only occurs when the creature moves in to the space. What happen if the vampire moves through the creature's space? Or if the creature remains within the vampire's space? Surely it would still run the risk of being poisoned?

Maybe something along the lines of:

'Each time a creature is within the drow vampire's space, it is exposed to drow vampire poison (see below).'

How about cribbing off the approach used in a Swarm's Distraction: "Any living creature that begins its turn with a swarm in its space must succeed on a DC 11 Fortitude save or be nauseated for 1 round. The save DC is Constitution-based."

It would need modifying or the creature could move through the vampire's space and be fine as long as it didn't finish/start it's turn in that space.

Yes, some modification would be necessary. Maybe have it happen on the vampire's turn?

Drow Vampire Poison (Ex): A drow vampire's blood and gaseous form are poisonous. Any breathing creature that shares the Space of a drow vampire in gaseous form risks being affected by its poison. Exposure can occur whenever a creature enters the gaseous vampire's space, the vampire enters another creature's space, or a vampire starts its turn with a creature in its space. A creature can only be exposed to a given drow vampire's venomous gaseous form once per round.

Any creature biting a drow vampire (or otherwise drinking its blood) will also be affected by its poison.

Drow Vampire Venom: Inhaled or ingested, Fortitude save negates, initial and secondary damage 1d4 Con. The save DC is Charisma-based.
