So perhaps we should mention that the vampire's flesh is poisonous too?

I re-read their Ravenloft writeup and there's no mention of them having poisonous blood, only a "poisonous vapor form".

Although, having their tissues be poisonous does seem appropriate, and wouldn't affect play much.

Besides, I like the idea of them having poisonous blood/flesh, so if we do cut it out of the "standard drow vampire" I would fancy adding it as an underbar.

Oh, and I think many vampires have blood flowing through their veins - of course it probably used to be someone else's blood...

I think the other people's blood must get absorbed directly into their undead flesh. :p

I'm happy with making it poisonous to eat them. It does seem right.

If I'm right, we should just need flavor and a sample. Preferences for the sample?

I'd imagine the flavor is quite rotten. :p

I'd like to see a shadowdancer for the sample.

Cleric of Lolth Anonymous Spider Goddess Who Won't Get You Sued would seem the obvious choice.

Yep. That's why I suggested shadowdancer. You usually seem to prefer to avoid the obvious choices. ;)

Ah, but if my obvious choice is the un-obvious choice than I would be avoiding it by picking the obvious choice.

Isn't that obvious? :p

I'd be OK with shadowdancer. What base class shall we build it on?

A 7th level rogue would work, but it's a bit predictable. Maybe a monk? That has all the necessary class skills.

Failing that, I'd be tempted by a ranger. However, they don't have Perform, so we'd have to buy the ranks cross-class.

The lawfulness of monks doesn't mesh well with the chaotic nature of drow and their goddess. ;)

I'll go for ranger, or fighter/rogue.
