D&D 3.x Converting monsters from Mayfair Games Role Aids product line

Spider Climb is a great idea.

For the feats, I actually like Stealthy, so it can get a "drop" on its enemies (it only gets one feat). :p Really, though, I think this relies on acting first and gassing people. An alternative would be Ability Focus (sleeping gas).

We're going to add that wounded creatures don't wake automatically, right? Same Fort save to wake up?

CR 2?

100-150 lb?

Fair enough! My memory's as shaky as ENWorld servers of late! :p

Updated.

Suggested CR for the greater? Does its sleep make it deadlier than the equal HD black pudding (CR 7)?

I think so, yes. Probably CR 8.

Rather than say wounded creatures are allowed an extra Fort save to wake up, shouldn't we say that they must make a Fort save to wake up? The spells quoted let wounded creatures wake up automatically.

Sure!

Suggested description and flavor text?

We have very little to go on...

This giant, unthinking cell clings to the top of caverns. When it senses the heat of a nearby livign body, it releases a powerful sleep gas. One round later, it drops on its prey and begins to digest it.

Suddenly, you and your companions are surrounded by a thick fog. As your mind clouds with fatigue, a large amorphous cell falls from the ceiling above you.

I'm not much good at this, but how does that seem?

For flavor, what could be the origin of the sleep gas?

Not bad, not bad at all. :)

Perhaps the first roosk arose from a cart filled with sleeping potions that overturned and mingled with stagnant rainwater? :p
